Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
In the past few weeks I have been getting a lot of notices about "Global Warming" on my Face Book news feed and they do annoy me.
They annoy me on several levels. First because I think it is a bit ignorant of our scientist to believe that we could have caused it or can do anything about it, even if it is a fact and not a flawed theory. Secondly, because the scientist do not have a long enough database to determine if this warming trend isn't a normal earth cycle, like summer/ winter but in a much grander scale.
Also, their gloom and doom predictions are way out of order; we are talking about very minute changes over a long period of time and on a huge scale. Humans are very adaptable, which is a gift from God, just look at the temperature extremes we live in all over the globe.
But then, in a moment of clarity, it hit me. "But as the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be,". "So what," you say, "what has that to do with global warming?".
Concerning the climate of the world before the flood not much is mentioned in the Bible, however enough is mentioned that we can draw some conclusions. Lets take a look at the few verses I am referring to.
Gen 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
Gen 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
and
Gen 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
When considering these verses and this one:
Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Gen 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
we can get a picture of a climate much different than the one we have been experiencing since the flood.
It appears that the pre-Noah world was cloud covered and much warmer than it currently is. Ground fog was a frequent thing that kept the ground damp enough to water the plants. The world climate during this time seems to have been much more like our scientist think the age of dinosaurs was.
This theory does for me two things, it solves many of the discrepancies in the sciences and it gives me great hope that God is indeed redeeming the earth in preparation for Jesus return.
So, in conclusion, Global warming come and hurry it up!!!
So what do you think? Please post your comments, I do want to hear from you you thinking and feelings are important. Thank-you
