Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Psa 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Psa 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Psa 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalms 103 is so beautiful. So much to be grateful for I just can not say it better that King David did.
I really don't know how I got along in this valley of tears without God by my side.
I have been in discussions this month with two men who do not believe in Yahweh or His Son. I truly do feel sorry for them and have been praying for deliverance from their delusion. It really is a delusion to believe that all the systems of this planet just developed of their own accord through some great cosmic accident and when our short years here on earth are over , well it's just over, dust to dust and all that rot. Personally a life without hope in something greater and beyond this system would seem to me to be hollow and without purpose. I would have to go back to being drunk all the time and just not caring about you, me, society or anything else, but I can not do that. There must be a God, a great designer and creator, even the scientist are begging to come around and agree that it would take some kind of creative intelligence to have made all the wonderful things on this planet.
And, there are so many wonderful things to be grateful to our Creator for. The sunset, the sunrise, our fellow creatures, our pets our homes our families our lives. This is just a short list, I could fill this page with things to be grateful to God for.
There are times though when finding anything to be grateful for is hard. When a cherished loved one has passed for example or when there is too much month at the end of the bills. It is easy to get our emotions all squirreled up in pain and worry, but God has an answer for that too. It's called faith. Believe He has a greater plan, believe that this moment of pain or discomfort is just one small step in His overall plan to take you to greater heights than you could dream. Then act on your belief. If you trust God the next right step will soon emerge, do not hesitate once you know it is the next right step.
Sometimes knowing what the next right step is can be hard, but God can help there too. If we get our noses out of the television and into His word we can get direction. The Bible is God's manual, as C.S.Lewis says, " for the running of the human machine". Read it through from beginning to end, trust God to teach you from it's pages, it is my experience He will.
I have much more to say on this subject and you can find it in the revised edition of "Yahweh The God Who Speaks and How to Hear Him" which is now available here:
